BullFrog USTA Southern Section Designated Doubles

Remember, the Doubles Event is just as important as the Singles Event. If you withdraw, you will be penalized. An excuse like "I could not miss school" is unacceptable.

It is important to realize this is a marathon of tennis to play singles and doubles for 4 days. We offer doubles for the sake of the kids. We put forth this massive effort for the kids to have the opportunity to earn points. Given that parents do not want to miss work and kids to miss school, the time period for this tournament is short. These are long, gruelling days and not for everyone. Please understand this before registering your child for doubles. Withdrawal after doubles registration closes and play begins is absolutely not acceptable. Doubles participants should be in top physical condition to compete. Again, we only offer doubles for the opportunity to earn points, not to test their physical condition.

Doubles registration opens January 18th and closes January 20th.

There is no entry fee for singles players to play doubles. However, a $3.00 processing fee may be charged each player for doubles registration.

Doubles play will begin on Friday evening with two rounds starting at 5:00 PM. (Doubles format is an 8-game pro set, single elimination.)

Doubles players must sign up in the same division as singles.

Also, BOTH PLAYERS MUST register online for doubles.

We do NOT partner players.

It is your job to find a partner, confirm the partnership, and then register by the doubles deadline.

You must enter doubles in the same age group that you were accepted in for singles. BOTH partners must sign up with your partner online (mandatory).

If you are only playing doubles, the fee is $25.00, which is payable at the first doubles match.

Doubles criteria for selection: (1) Both players in the singles, (2) One player in singles partnered with an alternate, (3) Both alternates
