WEATHER UPDATE SAT NOON
The weather forecast for the rest of the day is over 60% chance of rain through 6 p.m. The radar shows significant weather coming in from the west. so we are going to cancel all matches for today. We will reschedule the tournament for tomorrow. The new draws will be posted by 5 p.m. if possible. We will be eliminating consoliaton singles and doubles so that we can get the entire tournament in tomorrow. The format for the B/G 10s will remain the same. The format for the remaining events will be short sets starting at 2-2, no ad scoring, with a 10 point tiebreaker for the third set.
|
WEATHER UPDATE SAT 10 AM
There is a large cell that has formed to the west. We are in a weather delay until 12 noon. This means that no matches would start before 2:00 p.m. The noon update will be the last of the day. We will either set a schedule for the rest of the day or we will cancel for today and reschedule for tomorrow.
|
WEATHER UPDATE SAT 8:45 AM
There isa some clearning at the moment, but there is a large system behind it. We are postponing all matches until 12 noon, so 8:00 matches would not start until noon, all other matches are in a 3 hours delay. We will provide another update at 10:00 am. If it continues to rain or if the forecast is not favorable we will make a decision no later than 1:00 p.m. about play for the day. If we cancel today the entire tournament will be rescheduled for tomorrow.
|
WEATHER UPDATE SAT 6:00 AM
It is currently raining at STC. We are in a weather delay at all sites until at least 10:00 am. We will make another weather update at 9:00 am. The earliest 8:00 matches would go on is 10:00 am if it has stopped raining. All other matches are delayed by at least two hours for now. Someone will be at STC by 7:30 am, but no one will be at the remaining sites until we are out of the current weather delay.
|
WEATHER UPDATE
We are aware that the forecast for Saturday calls for rain. We will update the tournament website starting at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday morning and will continue to update throughout the day if there is a delay. We will make every effort to get the tournament in during the two days of the event. We will most likely cancel doubles first, and then go to a shortened format for singles matches to stay on schedule.
