TENTATIVE SCHEDULE
Based on 32 draw size in Singles and 16 draws size for Doubles
Saturday – 1st round Doubles followed by 2 rounds Main draw singles and 1st round Consolation
Sunday – 1 round Doubles, 2 rounds of consolation singles,1 round Main draw singles, SF round Doubles
Monday – Final of Doubles, 2 rounds of consolation singles, F and 3/4 playoff Main draw singles
Tuesday – Rain day
Please note that the Consolation will be played through the semis.
B10 will follow the same schedule above, with only the Finals and 3/4 playoff being played on Monday. Doubles and Consolations are scheduled to finish on Sunday, provided we don't have rain. Any changes to the scheduling for the Finals or 3/4 Play off can be discussed with the referee. G10 are scheduled to complete the tournament on Sunday, provided we don't have rain.

WITHDRAWALS
All withdrawals after the entry deadline should be in writing and the reason for the withdrawal given. On or BEFORE Sunday, March 25, please withdraw on the website. Go to the Tournament website and find "EDIT REGISTRATION" on the right side of your screen then "Withdraw". From there you can withdraw. If you do not know your Confirmation #, then click "Locate Comfirmation" just below "Withdraw".Your credit card will not be charged and no reason for the withdrawal is necessary.
AFTER Sunday, March 25 at 11:59pm, withdrawing players should email the referee at chelton48@yahoo.com stating the reason for the withdrawal.
NO refund will be given if a player withdraws after midnight, Sunday, March 25.

NEW FOR 2012 : GA/AL JUNIOR OPEN
New GA/AL Junior Open State Championships (Formerly the GA/FLA Open) will be played at 2 locations simultaneously. The 10-14’s will be hosted in Bainbridge, GA and the 16-18’s will be hosted in Dothan Alabama.
This is a STA Level 4 event and is a Level 2 State Championship event for all age divisions for both Alabama and Georgia thru a cooperative agreement with both States Junior Competition Committees, GA players playing in the Alabama hosted event will receive State Championship credit as well as Alabama players playing in the Georgia event.
This Tournament is open to all Southern Players first, and then with other available spots other Sections players may be added as allowed.

All players must have a copy of a Birth Certificate or Green Card on file in the Southern office before they are allowed to play in your state Qualifier. ENTERING TWO TOURNAMENTS (Including those on the Alternate List)
Do not enter two tournaments at the same time. How to avoid Penalties: If you end up on the alternate list, you must withdraw from the alternate list first and then enter the 2nd event.

DOUBLES SIGN UP
We will be playing doubles on the first day of the tournament. You must play doubles in the same age group in which you were accepted for singles.
Please sign up with your partner before the entry deadline. Once the deadline has passed you will need to email the referee by Tuesday evening, March 27 at midnight with the name of your doubles partner and their USTA number.
If you are playing doubles ONLY, then the fee is $25.00, which is payable at the first doubles match

LATE ENTRIES
Late entries will be accepted until Tuesday, March 27 at noon. To enter after the online entries time has passed, send an email to tournament director at tthompson@bainbridgecity.com.

TIME LINE
Sunday, March 25, 11:59pm - Online Entries and withdrawals with refund close. No refunds for withdrawals after this date and time.
Monday, March 26 - Selections for ontime entries by tournament director by 5 pm
Tuesday, March 27, noon - last date and time for late entries. Late entries will be placed at the end of the alternate list in order of time of entry request
Tuesday, March 27, midnight - Doubles partners must be designated by midnight.
Wednesday, March 28 – draws will be made at 10 am. First match times will be posted by 9 pm.
Friday, March 30 – Draws will be posted by 3 pm.

SELECTION CRITERIA
Entry for BG12, BG14 will be based on selection criteria of 28 from the age group of the event and up to 4 from the lower age group who do not get in the first 28, and who are in the top 40 of the standings in the lower age group at the time of selection.
Entry for BG10 will be based on selection criteria of the top 32 players applying from the latest USTA/Southern standing list.

SEEDING INFORMATION
Seeds will be determined by the most recent Southern Standing List (3/26/12).
|

ATTENTION NEW USTA RULE FOR 2012
When using a 10 point tiebreaker in lieu of the full 3rd set, there will be a mandatory 3 minute break. Coaching will be allowed on court or at designated location near court. There will be no coaching during a toilet break. No new balls.

TOURNAMENT CHECK-IN
Please complete the medical release form (see link below under "Notes" and bring with you to the tournament. For BG10 BG12 and BG14 Check -in for the tournament is Friday at Bill Reynolds Tennis Center from 3:00pm-9:00pm. If you are not able to check-in Friday, you will need to check-in at Bill Reynolds Tennis Center before you play your first round match on Saturday. Please inform the tournament director if Saturday check in is necessary.

SCORING REGULATIONS/FORMAT OF PLAY
For BG 12, 14: All main draw SINGLES matches will be best of three tiebreak sets. New balls will be provided for the third set.
Consolation matches will be 2 Tiebreak sets. A match tie-break will be played at 1 set all (10 points by 2).
For BG10: Main and consolation singles matches will be 2 tiebreak sets. A match tie-break will be played at 1 set all (10 points by 2). Play will be on 60 foot courts, using orange balls and rackets 25 inches or less.
The consolation will be a full feed-in through the quarterfinals.
There will be a playoff for third and fourth places in the main draw singles.
DOUBLES matches will be one 8 game Pro Set. A match tiebreaker (10 points by 2) will be played at 8-all.
