The Mobile Tennis Center uses conduct rules above and beyond those enforced by the USTA.
Players participating in tournaments at the facilities identified are required to abide by these facility rules of behavior on and off of the court. These rules also apply to parents, coaches, siblings, and other guests of the players.
The list below indicates the Facility Behavior Rules:

- No Smoking anywhere on the premises. Premises includes parking lots, bathrooms, and anywhere within 30 feet of a tennis court.
Verbal rules apply to any langu-age. We have officials on sight that are fluent in many langu-ages.

MANDATORY TOURNAMENT CHECK IN
Mandatory means just that. We are staying until 10:00 pm for your convenience. We feel strongly that you should be able to make it by that time, for no other reason than your children need proper rest.
For those of you that "just can't make it by that time" need to do the following:
1. Make sure your entry fee has been paid by Friday night - check the Tournament Entry Fee Report
2. Email or Fax in your Medical Release Waiver WITH CELL PHONE NUMBER AND HOTEL INFO.
3. Show up 30 minutes before your match time if you are playing at the Mobile Tennis Center. Please be patient with us when checking in, we will be focused on getting matches on and off the court. Checking in people at this time will be a detriment to the tournament.
4. Those of you playing 8:00 am matches at the Mobile Tennis Center will need to be on your assigned court at 7:45. Make sure you allow yourself plenty of time.
On Saturday we will only have one person checking in players for the tournament (those that did not come the night before). Obviously this is not enough to check in everyone 30 minutes before their matchtimes. If you are not on your court by your assigned match time, you will be penalized. Because you did not check-in the night before, is no excuse for being late for your match. We cannot predict if there will be 5 people or 50 people waiting to check in when you do. You cannot play your match until you have checked in for the tournament. If there is a line that causes you to be late for your match, unfortunately that will be your problem that could have been avoided. Therefore, we urge all of you to check-in on Friday this includes Locals, Commuters and Travelers. We will be here until 9:30 pm on Friday.
Thank you for your cooperation.

MATCH CHECK IN PROCEDURES
RULE FOR MATCH CHECK IN:
Regulation IV.A.2 now states "The referee may penalize a player who is on site for lateness if a court is available and the player has failed to check in at the tournament desk by the scheduled match time."
THIS MEANS, IF THERE IS 1 OPEN COURT AT 10:00 AND THERE ARE 3 MATCHES TO PUT ON THE REFEREE WILL START THE CLOCK FOR LATENESS FOR ANYONE WHO HAS NOT CHECKED IN FOR 10:00 - EVEN THOUGH THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH COURTS FOR ALL 3 MATCHES.
1. The first matches of each day will report directly to the court at 7:45, and balls will be on the court. Matches should begin promptly at 8:00 a.m..
2. For all matches after 8:00, please get in a single-file line at the tournament desk at least 15 minutes before your scheduled match time. Do not wait until 9:59 to check in for 10:00. Please go to the bathroom, fill your water bottle, etc. before you check in.
3. Once you have checked in, please stay near the tournament desk until we tell you the court assignment. You must be where you can hear us call your name after you check in.
4. We will be watching the clock for lateness. Please do not ask us if your opponent has checked in - you have other things to think about. The staff and the Referee will take care of lateness issues you need only worry about your own timeliness.

2012 USTA REGIONAL – JANUARY SEGMENT PLAYER ENTRY
2012 USTA REGIONAL TOURNAMENT – JANUARY SEGMENT PLAYER ENTRY INSTRUCTIONS
In 2010, the USTA Junior Competition Committee approved the reorganization of the USTA Regional
Tournaments in order to address the goals of reducing cost, encouraging playing tournaments closer to home and creating time for training. It also better organizes the national tournament structure to allow Sections to more effectively plan their schedules.
Entry into more than one January USTA Regional Tournament will be allowed however, because the
computerized selection process for USTA Regional Tournaments does not recognize multiple entries, the USTA concurrent tournament regulation applies when a player enters more than one tournament or event in the same tournament. The USTA Junior Competition Committee during its July working meeting has limited the number of events a player may enter to four (4). As a result, players are required to do the following:
1. If a player wishes to enter one (1) but no more than four (4) USTA Regional Tournament(s) the
player is required to obtain the written permission of each Tournament Committee before entries
close.
2. When requesting permission, the player must state each tournament or event they are entering in
priority order of acceptance, including the age division. Players are limited to a maximum of
four (4) Regional Tournaments.
3. If players do not receive the written permission of each Tournament Committee before entries close,
they will be subject to the penalties under the concurrent tournament regulation including the
imposition of suspension points. In addition, multiple entry fees and multiple TennisLink fees may
result from not adhering to the concurrent tournament regulation. TennisLink fees are nonrefundable.
4. On Monday, December 26, 2011 after 12:00 p.m. EST, players must check the USTA Junior Competition
website (www.usta.com/juniorcompetition) to check on their selection status.
• Players with concurrent entries who are accepted into more than one tournament or event shall
immediately notify all the Tournament Committee(s) of the tournament or event they will be playing
• Players with concurrent entries who are accepted into one tournament and appear on the alternate list of
another shall play the tournament in which they have been accepted and shall notify the Tournament
Committee(s) of the tournament(s) at which they are alternates that they need to be removed from the
alternate list(s) no later than 5:00 p.m. EST on Wednesday, December 28, 2011
• Players who appear only on the alternate lists of the tournaments entered may remain on the alternate
lists until such time, if any, that the player is accepted into a tournament. If a player is accepted, they
shall immediately notify the Tournament Committee(s) of the other tournament(s) at which they are an
alternate that they need to be removed from the alternate list(s).
Players should check the USTA Junior Competition website (http://www.usta.com/JuniorCompetition) for updated information about the January USTA Regional Tournaments.

READ BEFORE ENTERING 2 TOURNAMENTS
We will be applying the concurrent tournament regulation to Regional Tournaments. This requires players to obtain the written permission of each tournament director in order to enter concurrent tournaments (In this case, only regional tournaments apply). Furthermore, players are to prioritize their entries when they seek permission to enter multiple events. Tournament directors of Regional Tournaments have been instructed to grant this permission. Players need to be aware that, if they enter more than one Regional Tournament and do not obtain permission of the tournament directors, they will be subject to being charged multiple entry fees and multiple TennisLink fees. It is worth noting that the TennisLink fees are non-refundable. Players who do not adhere to the concurrent tournament requirements will be subject to penalties which include the imposition of suspension points.

4. Approximately five (5) days, after the entry deadline, players must check the USTA Junior Competition website (www.usta.com/juniorcompetition) to check on their selection status.
• Players with concurrent entries who are accepted into more than one tournament or event shall immediately notify all the Tournament Committee(s) of the tournament or event they will be playing

If a player is accepted, they shall immediately notify the Tournament Committee(s) of the other tournament(s) at which they are an alternate that they need to be removed from the alternate list(s).
Players should check the USTA Junior Competition website (http://www.usta.com/JuniorCompetition) for updated information about the October USTA Regional Tournaments.
How to avoid Penalties:
1. Get written permission from all tournament directors to enter concurrent tournaments, maximum of 4 sites.
2. With your request, prioritize the sites and age divisions you wish to play. Once you are selected at any site for which you applied, your priority list is no longer a consideration. Once selected at any site, you cannot use this priority list as a means of withdrawing from a site to play another site.
3. Once selected into an event, make sure your name is removed from all other alternates lists. Once selected at a site and you accept, you CANNOT withdraw if you get a call from another site, even if it was your first priority. So take your name off all other lists so you do not face this predicament.
4. If you are accepted as a player in this tournament, you may not withdraw and then enter another tournament with a common date.
5. If you are placed on the alternates list and you decide to enter another tournament, you must withdraw from the alternates list first and then enter the other tournament.
6. There are NO refunds. If you do not follow all procedures correctly, you could be charged multiple times and there are no refunds.
