MANDATORY TOURNAMENT CHECK-IN
We will be hosting a mandatory tournament check-in at the Holiday Inn for all players on Friday, July 6 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. We will have a reception for players at that time with great appetizers and snacks to get you ready for your matches. Players who come to the Friday Night Check-In will be entered in a Raffle for fun prizes! This is something that you do not want to miss. If you cannot make it to check-in by 7:30, please email us ahead of time and put "Late Check-In Request" in the subject and we will do our best to have someone stay later to get you checked in. For those of you who cannot make it to this check-in by 9:30 PM, please do the following:
1. Make sure that your Entry Fee has been paid by checking the Tournament Entry Fee Report.
2. Email or FAX your Waiver and Accommodation Information Sheet . FAX number is 706-317-4501 and email is aline@corta.org.
3. Please report 45 minutes before your first match time. Be patient with us when checking in as getting matches on and off the court will be our priority.
On Saturday, we will only have one person checking players in for the tournament (those who did not check in the night before). This may not be enough time to check everyone in. If you are not checked in for your match by the required time, you will be penalized. You cannot play your match unless you are checked in.

Tuesday, June 19, 2012: Ordered Alternates List will be published and we will begin accepting LATE ENTRIES. LATE ENTRIES will be ordered by the date and time on email sent to aline@corta.org. Please put LATE ENTRY in the subject line and be sure to indicate your name, event, email and 2 phone numbers.

SATURDAY
Morning – Complimentary bagels, muffins and yogurt will be available beginning at 7:30 am at the Cooper Creek Tennis Center Annex.
Afternoon - The Ice Cream Girl will be here from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm to provide players with a free Hawaiian ice. Simply give her your name to receive your free treat.
Evening - Pizza Party for players and their guests at the Cooper Creek Tennis Center Annex from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm. There will be raffle for prizes, be sure to fill out the raffle ticket with your name. You must be present to receive your prize.
SUNDAY

Directions to Cooper Creek Tennis Center from I-185:
Take I-185 to Exit 7 (Manchester Expressway). Turn east onto Manchester Expressway. Travel approximately 2 miles to the Warm Springs Road Connector. Travel up the exit ramp and turn right. The entrance to Cooper Creek Park is directly ahead. The clubhouse is a two-story building located on your right as you enter the park. Tournament check-in desk will be at the annex building on the left side on the road.

TRAINER
We will have a certified trainer on-site daily beginning 30 minutes before the first scheduled matches of the day. Please use our trainer as needed. If you must withdraw from the tournament due to injury or illness, you must see the trainer and Head Referree.The trainer must fill out a form so that you will not be penalized. If you fail to do this, you may incur suspension points.

PRACTICE COURTS AND WARM-UP COURTS
If you would like to hit at Cooper Creek Tennis Center on Friday afternoon, you will need to contact them directly. The main clubhouse is located on the right side of the road as you enter. Their number is 706-317-4186. There is a fee for court usage before the tournament begins.
There will be a limited number of warm-up courts available at Cooper Creek Tennis Center on match days beginning at 7:00am. Please have 4 per court if others are waiting. However, if the tournament gets behind due to weather issues, we will not be able to offer warm-up courts. We will have to use all available courts for the tournament.
Courts can be reserved at the Country Club of Columbus for $10.00 an hour. Courts open at 8 a.m. and you must call ahead for a reservation. Please call 706.323.9116 to make your reservation there. The Country Club of Columbus is located at 2610 Cherokee Avenue Columbus, Georgia. There are also some public hard courts located at Lake Bottom Park on Cherokee Avenue.

Once you have a Double's Partner, BOTH players must email us with your partner. Please put "B DOUBLES" or "G DOUBLES" in the subject. Once we get an email from BOTH players, we will add you into the doubles event with your partner. Please check the double's competitors for accuracy We are updating one to two times daily.

We will be using Facebook to help you find a doubles partner. If you have a Facebook account, you can join the group and post messages for others that are playing in the tournament. If you need a double's partner, post your information on the group home page and see who else needs a partner for the tournament. Please note that we will not pair players or make teams. All players are responsible for finding their own partner. Please try to register with your partner, if at all possible. ENTRY FEE
Please be sure to check the "Entry Fee Report" when posted to be sure that your fee has been paid. There are often Credit Card Failures and Alternate Entries that will need to pay the Entry Fee. Please call in your credit card number to the CORTA Office M-F between the hours of 1:30 and 5:30 PM EST. We will not take payment information via email.

ALTERNATES LIST
ORDERED ALTERNATES LIST
The Tournament Committee shall create an ordered Alternate List based on the following guidelines:
1. Players with 100 or more ranking points on the NSL of their division of the event used to select players for the tournament, shall be listed at the top of the alternate list in the order their names appear on the NSL
2. Players not previously selected or listed with 100 or more ranking points on the NSL of the next-younger division used to select players into the tournament shall be listed in the order their names appear on the NSL below the first group of players
3. Players not previously selected or listed shall be listed in the order their names appear on the NSL of the division of the event used to select the players into the tournament below the second group of players
4. Players not previously selected or listed shall be listed in the order their names appear on the NSL of the division of the next-younger division used to select the players into the tournament below thethird group of players
5. Players that do not appear on either the NSL of the division of the event or the next younger division that were used to select the players into the tournament shall be ordered by lot.
6. Late entrants shall be listed below timely entrants in the order received. entries received at the same time, will be ordered by lot. Late entrants are not ordered by position on the NSL list.
WITHDRAWING FROM THE ALTERNATES LIST
Please be sure to withdraw from the Alternates List if you will not be able to come to the tournament or if you receive a spot in another tournament. Please email aline@corta.org and put "Alternate Withdrawal" in the subject line. As long as you are on the Alternates by Event Report, you are telling us that you can still attend.

LATE ENTRIES
Late Enties will be accepted. You may send an email request for Late Entry beginning Tuesday, July 19 after Entrants have been selected to the tournament. Late Entries will be ordered by the date and time the email request is received. Late entrants are not ordered by position on the NSL list. We will not accept call ins for Late Entries. Please put "Late Entry" in the subject of your email request and be sure to include player name, event, USTA number, email and 2 phone numbers.

Players may register in up to 4 of the same age/gender July Regionals. Please go to the USTA website and acquaint yourself with the registration (similar to the National Open registration) as well as selection process. Once you are on the site click on "PLAYERS AND PARENTS".

USTA SOUTHERN - SOUTHERN OPEN
This Regional event is also the USTA Southern’s “Southern Open”. Therefore, this event is a Southern Level 1A point event. This “Southern Level” only applies to the Regional events that are our Southern Opens (B&G 12’s –Dothan AL, B&G 14’s – Pelham, AL, B&G 16's – Columbus, GA, and B&G 18’s – Birmingham, AL).

THIS IS A NATIONAL LEVEL 3 TOURNAMENT - SINGLES DRAWS ARE 64 PLAYERS
Boys 16 and Girls 16 Singles and Doubles. Singles is a full feed-in consolation. Doubles is single elimination. The entry fee includes both singles and doubles.

WITHDRAWING AFTER THE TOURNAMENT DEADLINE
There will be no refunds for any players withdrawing after the entry deadline.Withdrawals must be made in writing and must include player name and contact information. Requests for withdrawals must be sent by email to aline@corta.org by the last day of the tournament in order to avoid suspension points for withdrawing without a legitimate cause. The Referee of the tournament will determine whether or not withdrawals are legitimate. Medical withdrawals MUST have cause in writing submitted by a Medical Professional.

PLAYING SITE AND PRO SHOP
Cooper Creek Tennis Center is a public facility with a two-story clubhouse overlooking 30 clay courts. On the right side of the road as you enter the park is the Main Clubhouse. Drinks and snacks are available for purchase there. Restrooms and showers are located on the lowerlevel of the main clubhouse. On the left side of the road as you enter the park is the Annex Building which will serve as the Tournament Headquarters.The phone number in the Annex building is 706 317 4205. Hospitality events will also be served on this side of the road. Draws will be posted at the scoring pavilion adjacent to the Annex. There is a full service Tennis Pro Shop located at the entrance to Cooper Creek Park: Cross Court Sports 4784 Milgen Road 706-561-1108.

TOURNAMENT BEHAVIOR GUIDELINES
Players participating in the tennis tournament are required to abide by the tournament rules of behavior on and off the court in addition to The Code. These rules also apply to parents, coaches, siblings, and other guests of players.
# No use of any “?uck” word (i.e. “suck”) either spoken or spelled.
# No use of expressions of frustrations with references to deities (i.e. “Oh my God”, “Jesus”, “Christ”, “God”) either spoken or spelled.
# No use of “freaking” or “frigging” or “fricking” or variations of such either spoken or spelled.
ANYONE FOUND IN VIOLATION OF THESE RULES WILL BE SUBJECT TO A CODE VIOLATION.
