THE RAIN HAS STOPPED AND WE ARE BEGINNING TO ROLL. THERE WILL BE NO MATCHES BEFORE 11:15AM. THE ORDER OF PLAY ONCE THE COURTS ARE PLAYABLE WILLBE: ALL MAIN DRAW,SINGLES FINALS AND 3/4 PLAY-OFFS, THE DOUBLES FINALS, THE DOUBLES 3/4 PLAYOFFS, CONSOLATION QUARTER FINALS, AND THEN THE CONSOLATION SEMI-FINALS. MOST OF THESE MATCHES WILL BE ABLE TO GO ON AT THE SAME TIME ONCE THE COURTS DRY. ANY HELP ROLLING COURTS WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. BARRY

Mandatory Check-in

ALL PLAYERS MUST TURN IN A USTA MEDICAL WAIVER AND A CLAREMONT CLUB WAIVER SIGNED BY A PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN PRIOR TO THEIR FIRST MATCH. ALL CHECK-IN IS AT THE CLAREMONT CLUB DURING ONE OF THE FOLLOWING DESIGNATED TIMES. FRIDAY FEBRUARY 24,2012 BETWEEN 3PM-6PM, OR SATURDAY FEBRUARY 25,2012 BETWEEN 7:30am-12:00pm. This includes players who are playing at alternate sites. IF YOU ARE CHECKING IN ON SATURDAY MORNING PLEASE LEAVE ENOUGH TIME TO GO THROUGH CHECK-IN AND STILL HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO MAKE IT TO YOUR MATCH ON TIME. PLayers playing at UTC must still go through tournament check-in at the Claremont Club during one of the designated check-in times. Players who may receive a bye or have their first match time after 12pm must still check-in at one of the designated times. Players will be given a player ID and their tournament t-shirt at this time.

DOUBLES ENTRY

TO ENTER INTO THE DOUBLES ALL PLAYERS MUST E-MAIL BARRY@CLAREMONTCLUB.COM AFTER THE SELECTION PROCESS IS COMPLETE, BUT PRIOR TO 4PM ON FRIDAY FEBRUARY 24,2012. SIGNING UP FOR DOUBLES ON LINE DOES NOT GUARANTEE A SPOT IN THE DRAW. TO ENTER WITH A PARTNER BOTH PLAYERS MUST CONFIRM THEIR PARTNER'S NAME IN THIS E-MAIL. THOSE WHO NEED A PARTNER SHOULD STILL SEND AN E-MAIL AND STATE THEY DON'T HAVE A PARTNER. IT IS NOT THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE TO MATCH A PLAYER WITH A PARTNER, BUT WE WILL DO OUR BEST TO HELP PAIR AS MANY PLAYERS AS POSSIBLE. FAILURE TO SEND THIS E-MAIL WILL RESULT IN THE PLAYERS NOT BEING ENTERED INTO THE DOUBLES DRAW.

ALL DOUBLES WILL BE 16 DRAWS. THE MATCHES WILL BE 8 GAME PRO SETS WITH A 10-POINT MATCH TIEBREAK AT 8-8. SINGLE ELIMINATION WITH A 3/4 PLAYOFF. THE ROUND OF 16 DOUBLES MATCHES WILL BE PLAYED SATURDAY AFTERNOON AFTER 2 ROUNDS OF SINGLES. THE FIRST DOUBLES MATCHES WILL BE SCHEDULED AT 3PM ON SATURDAY 2/25/2012

ALL ON SITE ALTERNATES MUST CHECK IN AT LEAST 15 MINUTES PRIOR TO THE FIRST SCHEDULED MATCH TIME OF THE EVENT FOR WHICH THEY ARE AN ALTERNATE. THE BOYS 14'S AND GIRLS 14'S MUST SIGN-IN NO LATER THAN 8:45AM SATURDAY. THE GIRLS 12'S MUST SIGN-IN NO LATER THAN 9:15AM ON SATURDAY. THE BOYS 12'S MUST SIGN-IN NO LATER THAN 10:45AM ON SATURDAY. THE ORDER OF THE ALTERNATES IS BASED ON THE ORIGINAL ALTERNATE LIST, AND NOT IN THE ORDER IN WHICH THE PLAYERS CHECK IN. ALL ON SITE ALTERNATES MUST SIGN IN AT THE CLAREMONT CLUB.

The main tournament site is the The Claremont Club (TCC) 1777 Monte Vista, Claremont Ca, 91711. The alternate site is The Upland Tennis Club (UTC) 1525 W. 15th ST. UPland CA,91786. Please be aware that all players playing at UTC must first go through tournament check-in at the Claremont Club during one of the designated tournament check-in times. The Upland tennis club is located less than a 5 minute drive from the Claremont Club. All weather related updates will be posted on this web site. Those players playing at the UTC should check this site and not call the UPland Tennis Club for weather updates.

THE SHERATON ONTARIO AIRPORT 429 N. VINEYARD AVE. ONTARIO CA, 91764 is the designated tournament hotel. They are offering a special tournament rate of $92.00 per room. This includes an american breakfast buffet for those staying in the room. There is also shuttle service offered between the hotel and the Claremont Club and the hotel and Ontario airport. Ontario International Airport is definetly the closest airport, located approximately 10 miles from the Claremont Club. Orange County John Wayne airport is located approximately 40 miles from the Claremont Club and LAX is locately approximaely 50 miles from the Claremont Club.

THE B&G 14'S SINGLES MAIN DRAW WILL BE BEST OF 3 TIEBREAK SETS. THE FIC WILL BE BEST OF 3 TIEBREAK SETS WITH A 10-POINT MATCH TIEBREAK PLAYED IN LIEU OF A 3RD SET. THE B&G 12'S SINGLES BOTH MAIN DRAW AND FIC WILL BE BEST OF 3 TIEBREAK SETS WITH A 10-POINT MATCH TIEBREAK IN LIEU OF A 3RD SET. PLEASE NOTE BEGINNING 1/1/2011 THERE SHALL BE A MANDATORY 3-MINUTE REST PERIOD AFTER THE SECOND SET WHEN A MATCH TIEBREAK IS PLAYED IN LIEU OF THE 3RD SET. COACHING MAY TAKE PLACE DURING THE REST PERIOD.
