Compass Draw in Boys' 14's
All players in the boys' 14's division will play three matches each.
|
Third Place Matches
We will be playing third place matches in the girls' 14's and 16's and boys' 14's divisions this weekend.
|
Our Referee
Our referee will be available throughout the weekend to answer questions and enforce the rules, but we DO NOT supply line judges for matches. Players are expected to make their own calls in accordance with the procedures outline in "The Code" in Friend at Court.
|
Draw Size
Each
draw will be limited to 8 players. If a full 8 draw then a Compass draw format will be used. If draw is not full then FMLC, FICQ, or RR may be used, depending on number of players in each draw.
|
Start Time
Play
will be scheduled on Saturday only for this tournament. Sunday will only be used to make up any play not completed on Saturday due to rain or other factor.
|
Selection Process
Players will be selected based on the most recent published NC standing
list. Players must have some standing points in order to be considered to
compete in a NC L4 tournament. If
players do not have a standing, they should compete in a NC L5 event. For this tournament, however, we will allow players without a standing to register and we will offer L5 dependent draws for each flight with sufficient numbers of unranked players registered. The names of players who have been selected
will appear as "Competitors" after the tournament deadline when
selections are made. Contact us
immediately if you realize that you cannot participate.

Sportsmanship Reminder
In order to truly enjoy the
sport of tennis, it is essential to display good sportsmanship which includes
abiding by the rules, playing fair, and showing respect for your opponent. We expect that ALL players who compete this
weekend abide by guidelines set forth by "the
code". Please click the link below
to read: "The Code: The Players’ Guide for Unofficiated Matches". Good luck to all the competitors this weekend!
Thank you!
