This Tournament is a "GREAT SPORTS EVENT"
Tennis comes with a bloodline of
sportsmanship that few other sports can match. Even though there are
officials roving the courts, it is still an un-officiated sport.
·
Always
give the benefit of doubt to your opponent on a close line call.
·
Make
calls against yourself, such as a double-bounce or touching the net while the
point is in progress.
·
Call
out the score every point.
·
Congratulate
your opponent on great shots.
·
Parents
– be good sports outside the court.
·
And
win or lose, end the match with a removal of hats and a handshake at the net!
