FUTURES TOURNAMENT RESTRICTION
This tournament is a Futures/NC Level 5 event. Therefore, players ranked too high are ineligible. Please refer to the information below to see each division's restriction:
Boys/Girls 18s: Top 50 in state are ineligible for this tournament Boys/Girls 16s: Top 80 in state are ineligible for this tournament Boys/Girls 14s: Top 80 in state are ineligible for this tournament Boys/Girls 12s: Top 80 in state are ineligible for this tournament NOTE: If you are ineligible for one division, you're ineligible to play in any division for Futures tournaments (i.e. If you are ranked 80 or higher in the Girls 12s, you are ineligible for the Girls 12s, 14s, 16s, and 18s.)

WITHDRAWALS
Withdrawal Before the Entry Deadline: *****If you need to withdraw before "Entries Close," you must do so online. Click on "Edit Registration," the "Withdraw." You will need your original confirmation number***
Withdrawal After the Entry Deadline: *** Immediately contact the tournament to withdraw from the tournament. All withdrawals after "Entries Close" must be sent BOTH in writing via email ( to the Tournament Director's email address above ) AND by phone to the Tournament Director *** Players withdrawing after the tournament deadline will not be refunded the entry fee
Withdrawing During the Tournament: *** You must get approval from the Head Referee at Cornelius RD Park. Do not tell just anyone at the desk and think you have properly withdrawn. Unless you speak to the Head Referee in person, it will count as a "No Show." WE WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY WITHDRAWALS OVER THE PHONE! ***

SEEDING
From USTA/North Carolina Seeding Criteria: "Seeding shall be done using only the results from the most recently published USTA/North Carolina Combined Standings Lists of the division in the order in which players appear on the list." FORMAT, SCORING, BALLS
The format is First Match Losers Consolation (FMLC). All matches will play a 10-point match tiebreaker instead of a full 3rd set unless noted otherwise.
The 12-and-under divisions will play matches using the WILSON GREEN DOT compression ball. The match format will be the same as the older divisions.
The 10-and-under divisions in this tournament will play matches using the ORANGE compression ball. These divisions will play 2-out-of-3 sets. Each set plays using AD SCORING and goes to 4 games, win by 2, with a 7-point tiebreaker played at 4-all. 10s matches will also play a 7-point tiebreaker instead of a 3rd set. Players in the 10s must use racquets that are no longer than 25 inches

10 & UNDER SCORING:
For all North Carolina 10 and under, Level 1-5 tournament play, the required scoring format, for singles shall be: ADD SCORING with 1 hr. break between matches 1.) best of 2 short sets (first to 4 and win by 2), with a set tiebreak (first to seven 7 and win by two 2) at 4-4 in each set, 2.) if the 2 short sets are split, a set tiebreak (first to 7 and win by 2) is played in lieu of a third set. • In case of inclement weather, singles play shall consist of: ADD SCORING with 30 mins. between matches 1) one regular six (6) game set with a set tiebreak (first to seven 7 points and win by 2) at 6-all

NCTA Rain out Policy
1. Any division where play has begun – no refund 2. Any division where no play has begun – a partial refund after deductions for actual expenses. 3. All completed scores must be reported. Incomplete matches are recorded as ABANDONED( match started but Referee decided not to complete) matches. Matches never started are recorded as UNPLAYED 4. No tournament may reschedule without the approval of the S & S Committee. 5. If a tournament is unable to complete the tournament within the sanctioned dates, no extensions will be allowed. The tournament will be over. 6. It is at the discretion of the tournament committee if the entire tournament is canceled due to inclement weather.

PLAYER'S RESPONSIBILITY
It is the PLAYER'S responsibility to know their next match time and show up in a timely manner. Check the website often for updated match times. PLAYERS MUST CHECK IN FOR EACH MATCH 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO ITS SCHEDULED START TIME. ALL USTA RULES WILL BE ENFORCED FOR LATENESS. This tournament has a lot of matches to be played, and there will be no exceptions for lateness (i.e. traffic, etc.)

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Saturday, July 11, 2015 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
