TYPES OF TENNIS BALLS and MATCH FORMAT
The 10's will use orange ball, and play on 60" courts. Racquets may not exceed 25" in length. Format is best of three 4 game sets with no ad scoring. The first to 4 with a margin of 1 wins the set. A 7 point match tiebreak will be played instead of a third set. 12's will use Wilson green dot balls and play on 78' courts. Racquets may not exceed 29" in length. Format for 12's is the best of three tiebreak sets with regular scoring. A 10 point match tiebreak will be played instead of a third set. All other divisions will use Wilson Championship Regular Duty. 14'S, 16'S AND 18'S singles play the best of three tiebreak sets with regular scoring. A 10 point match tiebreak is played instead of a third set. All doubles, boys, girls and mixed, play an 8 game pro set.

The Asheville City Open is the longest running USTA sanctioned
tournament in North Carolina.
Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Monday, July 20, 2015 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
