As per USTA North Carolina rules for NC L3 tournaments, the entries deadline is 11:59PM the Thursday the week before the tournament. LATE ENTRIES ARE NOT ALLOWED.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR NC LEVEL 3 TOURNAMENTS
Late Entries - The deadline for this tournament is Thursday January 29, 2015, at 11:59pm ET (one minute before midnight). As per USTA North Carolina regulations, NC Level 3 and above tournaments do not allow late entries, so register in a timely manner.
Waterfall System for Splitting Competitors - In NC Level 3 tournaments, each division with more than 24 players will
be "waterfalled" into two draws of 16. This allows tournaments to be
completed in just two days. If you have questions on this, contact the
Tournament Director.
The players will be ordered using the most current NC standings list, with the 32 players split as follows: RED DRAW: 1, 4, 5, 8, 9, 12, 13, 16, 17, 20, 21, 24, 25, 28, 29, 32 BLUE DRAW: 2, 3, 6, 7, 10, 11, 14, 15, 18, 19, 22, 23, 26, 27, 30, 31 Seeding will be made after the players have been split.
Limited Draws - All divisions will be limited to 32 players each.
Selection Process - The top players applying from the most current USTA/NC standings list will be selected into the draw. Selections will be posted no later than the Friday after the deadline at 5:00 pm. The names of players who have been selected will appear as "Competitors."
Alternates - The Alternates by Event report will be updated daily. Contact us immediately if you realize that you cannot participate.
It
is the Alternate's responsibility to check the website to see if your
alternate status has changed. The tournament will make every effort to
contact you if your status does change providing the correct information
is on your membership profile. Once an Alternate is selected for play,
payment is due immediately.

FORMAT, SCORING, BALLS
Match Formats - 18s, 16s, 14s, 12s Divisions Singles play will not begin before Saturday at 8:00am. The format is Feed-In Consolation thru Quarterfinals (FICQ). Consolation Finals will not be played out (Both players will get the same number of points). All matches will play at 10-point match tiebreaker instead of a full 3rd set unless noted otherwise and will use the yellow ball.
Match Formats - 10s Divisions The 10-and-under divisions in this tournament will play matches using the ORANGE compression ball. These divisions will play 2-out-of-3 sets. Each set play AD SCORING and go to 4 games with a 7-point tiebreaker played at 4-all. 10s matches will also play a 7-point tiebreaker instead of a 3rd set. Players in the 10s must use racquets no longer than 25-inches. Consolation finals are not played out (both players will get the same number of points).

PLAYER'S RESPONSIBILITY
It is the PLAYER'S responsibility to know their next match time and show up in a timely manner. Check the website often for updated match times. PLAYERS MUST CHECK IN FOR EACH MATCH 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO ITS SCHEDULED START TIME. ALL USTA RULES WILL BE ENFORCED FOR LATENESS. This tournament has a lot of matches to be played, and there will be no exceptions for lateness (i.e. traffic, etc.)

PARENT AND MEDICAL RELEASE FORMS
The Parent and Medical Release is required by USTA/NC prior to playing matches. Parent/Guardian must sign. Bring your signed form with you to registration. This form must be filled out for each player for every tournament. A link to the form can be found by clicking "more info" below.

SEEDING
From USTA/North Carolina Seeding Criteria: "Seeding shall be done using only the results from the most recently published USTA/North Carolina Combined Standings Lists of the division in the order in which players appear on the list." WITHDRAWALS
Withdrawal Prior to Entry Deadline - Go to the Tournament Website and click "Edit Registration" on the right side of your screen, then "Withdraw." From there, you can withdraw. If you do not know your Confirmation Number, then click "Locate Confirmation" just below "Withdraw." We cannot withdraw you; you must do this yourself. You will lose the processing fee if you do not withdraw online before registration closes.
Withdrawal After the Entry Deadline - Immediately contact the tournament to withdraw from the tournament. All withdrawals after "Entries Close" must be sent BOTH in writing via email (to the Tournament Director's address above) AND by phone to the tournament site.
Withdrawing During the Tournament - You must get approval from the Head Referee at the
Simkins Indoor Tennis Center. Do not tell just anyone at the desk and think you have
properly withdrawn. Unless you speak to the Head Referee in person, it
will count as a "No Show." WE WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY WITHDRAWALS OVER THE
PHONE!
Players withdrawing after the tournament deadline will not be refunded the entry fee.

IMPORTANT JUNIOR SUSPENSION NOTES
Please note the rules below pertain to ALL sanctioned North Carolina and Southern tournaments: 11. "A player shall not enter two tournaments at the same time. When entries close, a player shall not be entered in two or more sanctioned tournaments, if any part of the tournament is scheduled to overlap unless each Tournament Committee involved understands the situation and concurs in writing." 12. "Player shall not enter a tournament intending to withdraw if the player's entry is accepted in another tournament."
What if played on an Alternate List? There are two options: 1.) Stay on the Alternate Lists in hope of getting into the tournament. 2.) Withdraw from the Alternate Lists so you can legally enter another tournament.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, January 29, 2015 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
