Thanks Everyone!
Thanks to the players, parents, coaches, and staff for the patience and understanding throughout the weekend with weather delays and location changes etc. I still don't know how we got it all in. We hope to see you all next year! Sincerely, Courtney

Draws Posted - IMPORTANT - READ FULLY
All Boys and Girls 10's and 12's will play on Clay courts at Lake Wilson Tennis Club. All other age groups will play on Hard courts at Barton College Tennis Complex. The draws have been posted. As always match times are tentative and may change due to weather, withdrawals, defaults, administrative error, etc. You will not be contacted due to changes. You should review the draws often particularly before leaving for a match to be sure nothing has changed. This is a large event and it will be a long weekend of tennis. It is important that matches stay on schedule. Be sure to give yourself plenty of time to get to your site and try to find your site in advance if at all possible. The tournament phone number is my mobile phone. I cannot accept calls during the tournament to provide directions etc. Other tournament related calls are acceptable. You may also use text or email. The site will be updated regularly throughout the event. If you have access to a mobile device you can use that to check draws and see results. All times have been posted. Any draw exceeding 8 participants will not complete the consolation which is why no times are posted for the consolation finals. This is a state rule set by NCTA. If you have questions please use email if possible.

There will be NO practice/warmup allowed on the tournament facilities at any time during the tournament besides the pre-match warmup with your opponent. Those looking for practice courts can try Fike High School, 500 Harrison Dr N, Wilson, NC 27893. The courts are located behind the school by water tower. This is the closest site to the tournament and it is usually available. You can also try searching for other high schools in the area.

General Information
This is a North Carolina Level 3 tournament and a Level 4 Southern tournament. This tournament may start as early as 8:00 AM on Saturday. We are expecting a large turnout so we can not accomodate any conflicts. All matches will play 2 out of 3 sets with a match tiebreak in lieu of a third set (except 10's). The officials will be available to answer questions and settle disputes but they may not serve as line judges for individual courts. Please promote good sportsmanship. Further information will be provided as the deadline approaches. I encourage you to register early. If you have any questions feel free to email me at s.courtneyharrell@gmail.com

Withdrawals and Refunds
There are no refunds for players who withdraw after the selection process.
|
Awards
Since there will be multiple draws, only first and second place trophies will be given.
|
12U Division
Players will
not be allowed to compete in a North Carolina Level 3 tournament in the 12U
division unless they have accumulated at least 300 ranking points in North
Carolina at the time selections are made. The North Carolina Junior Tournament
Committee put this rule in place to be sure that players are developing
properly in the correct pathway (from 10U Orange). All North Carolina state L4s
and L5s use green ball in the 12s, so the player has to earn their way into a
North Carolina L3 in 12U yellow ball.
|
Changing Events (Must be before deadline)
I am not allowed to move a player for any reason. If you would like to move to a different event you will need to withdraw and then re-register for another event. This has to be done before midnight. Whatever event the player is registered for when the deadline passes is the only event they can be considered for. Any event with 3 participants will be held. Any event with less than 3 participants will be cancelled.
|
Limited Draws
All draws are limited to 32 participants. Please take this into account when deciding what event to enter. The top 32 players will be chosen for each event so if you are playing in a higher age group for which you do not have ranking points you will not be chosen for that event if the entries exceed 32. Also see the section related to the Waterfall System.
|
Late Entries
LATE ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ALLOWED. NO EXCEPTIONS.
|
Seeding & Selections
Selections will be made using the most up to date NC Standings. Seeds will be determined using NCTA Seeding Criteria after the waterfall is done. This means out of state players may not be selected or seeded.
|
Alternates
Any alternates MUST have registered online. No "on-site" alternates are allowed unless they originally signed up online prior to entry deadline.
|
Waterfall System
The entry deadline for this tournament is Thursday 10/29/15. LATE ENTRIES ARE NOT ALLOWED
in North Carolina L3 events, so please sign up ahead of time! Waterfall System
Taking cost and school day factors into account, this allows tournaments to be completed in just two days
and provides players with the opportunity to earn more ranking points. Draws will be limited to 32 players
per age division. Each division that has 24 or more players will be split into two separate draws. Players
will then be "waterfalled" into two balanced draws based on the selection lists in the following order:
Red: 1,4,5,8,9,12,13,16,17,20,21,24,25,28,29,32. White: 2,3,6,7,10,11,14,15,18,19,22,23,26,27,30,31.
Selections will be made using the most up to date NC Standings. Seeds will be determined using NCTA
Seeding Criteria after the waterfall is done. The format is FIC (Feed-In Consolation through QF). All
matches will play a 10-point match tiebreaker instead of a full 3rd set. There will be a playoff for 3rd and
4
th place. Consolation finals will NOT be played out. Both players who reach the finals of consolation
will receive the same number of ranking points.
Boys/Girls 10s: The 10s division for this tournament will play on a 60' court using ORANGE compression
balls. Racquets cannot be longer than 25". Matches are best-of-three 4 game sets (TB at 4-all), AD
scoring, with a 7 point tiebreak instead of a third set.
Events with 9-23 players will play a regular 32 draw with byes and will play a Feed-In (through
Quarterfinals) and there will be a playoff for 3rd and 4th place. Consolation finals will NOT be played
out. Both players who reach the finals of consolation will receive the same number of ranking points.
Singles play will not begin before Saturday at 8am.
Draws are limited to 32 players per age division
