8 and Under
The 8 and Under division will start and finish on Friday,June 24th afternoon. Tennis will start at 4 and finish at 6:00. We will take late entries for this age group. Event is co-ed and will play a round robin format. Kids will play "best of 3 tiebreakers" The first child to win 2 tiebreakers, wins. Format is the 1st player to score 7 points wins the tiebreaker. 1st serve is overhand and the 2nd serve may be underhand or overhand. We will have a judge on each court and will have 4 courts going so this is a quick format and the kids will play 4 or 5 matches in 2 hours. All players will receive a t-shirt and a participation medal, the overall winner will receive a trophy.

Doubles
Doubles will start on Saturday afternoon at 5:00. I will accept entries
until 2:00 on Saturday and will make the draws that afternoon. If you
are interested in doubles, please ask around or find someone on Saturday
and sign up that day. Doubles will play 2 rounds on Sat afternoon/
evening and finish on Sunday afternoon.

Round Robins
For any draw that has 5 or fewer players, a round robin will be created
for the draw. You will play every player in the field and may play 3
matches in 1 day. Please be aware of this.

Messages
Draw size will be 32 players. Selection process will be used if more than 32 entrants. 10
and Under Draws will use 60 ft court and orange balls. 2 out of 3
Short sets will be played (first to 4 wins set, 7 pt tiebreak played at
4-4 for set). 7 pt match tiebreak will be played in lieu of 3rd set. 12 and Under Draws will use full court and green balls. 2 out of 3 regular sets with match tiebreaker in lieu of 3rd set. All other age groups will play 2 out of 3 regular sets with match tiebreaker in lieu of 3rd set. Wilson or Prince balls (8's and 10's) will be used in the tournament

Courts/ Balls
The 12's thru 18's will use the outdoor clay courts. The 10's will use
our 2 indoor courts for all play. Wilson Balls are used for all matches. Consolation matches for any age group may be put on the indoor hard courts if needed but we will try to keep them all outdoors.

10 and Under
The 10 and Under Division will be held on our indoor hard courts using the 60 ft court and orange balls. Scoring format will be short sets to 4 games, tiebreaker at 4-4. Best of 3 short sets will be played, a 7 point tiebreaker will be played if each player wins 1 set.

12 and Under Division
The 12 and Under Division will play on a full sized court, but will use the green dot balls. Regular scoring will be used with a 10 pt match tiebreaker if players split sets.

This tournament was set up in 2004 as a memorial tournament in
honor of CW Craven. During his life he was an influential tennis
member here at CCA and also in Asheville. He helped many junior
players and we felt that by creating a fund-raising tournament, we
would keep his spirit alive. The proceeds from this event go to
support the girls tennis team at Reynolds HS where CW's twin
daughters played.
Physical address of the club is 195 Wembley Rd.
From rte 40, take rte 240 to north side of Asheville. Exit 5A going
north on Merrimon Ave. Go 2 mi and turn right on Wembley Rd. Club
entrance is 1/4 mi on left. Look for tennis complex sign
From Bristol, exit #23 Merrimon Ave. Go right (south) for 1 mi and
turn left on Wembley Rd which is just past Beaver Lake. Club
entrance is 1/4 mi on left. Look for tennis complex sign.
Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Sunday, June 21, 2015 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
