Alternates
We do have some alternates on the Alternate's List for the Boys 12s and Boys 14s. If a space opens up in the draw, we will contact alternates in order (starting with the #1 alternate) via the phone number associated with your USTA membership. You will have one-hour to respond if you wish to be placed in the draw and then we will proceed to the next alternate.
You may choose to be an on-site alternate. To do so, you must register at the tournament desk at location your draw is playing 30 minutes prior to the first match scheduled for the event. You must also remain at the tournament site until the last match for the event begins. If a player is defaulted for lateness, then the alternate may be placed in the draw. Please contact Tournament Referee Scott Handback at scott@scoben.com if you wish to register as an On-Site Alternate.

Weather Update
It looks as if we will have a dry weekend, although it will be quite cold for this time of year. Players are reminded to dress in layers and dress warmly. We do not anticipate any issues with clay courts freezing and per USTA rules and regulations there will not be adjustments to the schedule of matches due to the cold weather.

Match Format-All main and consolation draws are 2 out of 3 tiebreak sets with a match tiebreak to be played in lieu of a third set. A match tiebreak is the first to 10 by 2. All 10's play the required format of 4 games per set for singles and doubles and if they split sets they play a set tiebreaker which is to 7 by 2. Each set is the first to 4 and win by 2 with ad scoring. We urge parents and coaches to go over this scoring format so they can be familiar with it prior to the tournament. There will be a volunteer to assist the players as much as possible. We want this to be an enjoyable experience.
