FUTURES TOURNAMENT RESTRICTION
L5 Junior Tournaments are open to all players except those with the following standings:
Boys & Girls 18s 1-50 Boys & Girls 16s 1-80 Boys & Girls 14s 1-80 Boys & Girls 12s 1-80 Boys & Girls 10s 1-10
Standings used to determine eligibility for a futures event are the Final Standings from the month prior to the tournament’s entry deadline. The final standings of a month are the standings published on or near the last day of that month. Once a player is ineligible s/he may become eligible again if his/her ranking falls outside the above standing range. A PLAYER INELIGIBLE TO PLAY FUTURES IN ANY AGE DIVISION IS INELIGIBLE TO PLAY FUTURES IN ALL AGE DIVISIONS. NORTH CAROLINA ELIGIBILITY APPLIES TO OUT OF STATE PLAYERS

NCTA Rain out Policy
1. Any division where play has begun – no refund 2. Any division where no play has begun – a partial refund after deductions for actual expenses. 3. All completed scores must be reported. Incomplete matches are recorded as ABANDONED( match started but Referee decided not to complete) matches. Matches never started are recorded as UNPLAYED 4. No tournament may reschedule without the approval of the S & S Committee. 5. If a tournament is unable to complete the tournament within the sanctioned dates, no extensions will be allowed. The tournament will be over. 6. It is at the discretion of the tournament committee if the entire tournament is canceled due to inclement weather.

WITHDRAWALS
Withdrawal Before the Entry Deadline: *****If you need to withdraw before "Entries Close," you must do so online. Click on "Edit Registration," the "Withdraw." You will need your original confirmation number*** Withdrawal After the Entry Deadline *** Immediately contact the tournament to withdraw from the tournament. All withdrawals after "Entries Close" must be sent BOTH in writing via email ( to the Tournament Director's email address above ) AND by phone to the Tournament Director ***
Withdrawing During the Tournament *** You must get approval from the Head Referee at Cornelius RD Park. Do not tell just anyone at the desk and think you have properly withdrawn. Unless you speak to the Head Referee in person, it will count as a "No Show." WE WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY WITHDRAWALS OVER THE PHONE! ***

NO TENNIS ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 16th

FORMAT, SCORING, BALLS
The format is First Match Losers Consolation (FMLC). All matches will play a 10-point match tiebreaker instead of a full 3rd set unless noted otherwise.
The 12-and-under divisions will play matches using the WILSON GREEN DOT compression ball. The match format will be the same as the older divisions.
The 10-and-under divisions in this tournament will play matches using the ORANGE compression ball. These divisions will play 2-out-of-3 sets. Each set plays using AD SCORING and goes to 4 games, win by 2, with a 7-point tiebreaker played at 4-all. 10s matches will also play a 7-point tiebreaker instead of a 3rd set. Players in the 10s must use racquets that are no longer than 25 inches

10 & UNDER SCORING
For all North Carolina 10 and under, Level 1-5 tournament play, the required scoring format, for singles shall be: ADD SCORING with 1 hr. break between matches 1.) best of 2 short sets (first to 4 and win by 2), with a set tiebreak (first to seven 7 and win by two 2) at 4-4 in each set, 2.) if the 2 short sets are split, a set tiebreak (first to 7 and win by 2) is played in lieu of a third set. • In case of inclement weather, singles play shall consist of: ADD SCORING with 30 mins. between matches 1) one regular six (6) game set with a set tiebreak (first to seven 7 points and win by 2) at 6-all

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Tuesday, October 13, 2015 11:59:00 AM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
