10-point Tiebreaks In Lieu of Third Sets

For all matches except for main draw semi-finals and finals (backdraw finals) a 10-point (first to 10 by 2) tiebreaker will be played in lieu of a third set. Main draw semis and finals will play full third sets. Backdraw finals will play full third sets and use regular scoring.

No Ad Scoring for Backdraw

All backdraw matches will be no-ad scoring. At 3-3, the receiver gets to choose the side and whomever wins the point wins the game. The only exception is backdraw finals which will use regular scoring.

10 Minute Warmup

Due to the number of matches to be played and the heat forecast for the tournament, players are encouraged to keep warm-ups efficient. A 10-minute warmup limit will be strictly enforced for all matches.

Notes

Hi everyone! Hope your summer is going splendidly. This year our prize money totals over $1500. There needs to be at least 4 participants signed up for a draw to receive any prize money. All main draw matches will be played at Lewis and Clark College, and backdraw matches will be played at Alton High School (See map links below.) Lunch will be provided on Saturday, and we anticipate a great turnout as always. Also, every draw will be first match losers consolation, so everyone will receive at least 2 matches in each draw. We hope to see everyone there and can't wait to watch some great tennis.
